Eric Hou

last week i finished painting these signs for poland family farm which is located in brooklin, maine.

some info:

the large sign is 3’7” high and 4’7” across. this is without a doubt the largest most detailed sign i’ve ever done. the hardest part was after i finally finished it i had to flip it over and paint it again because it is a two sided sign! the second side went a little bit faster (but not by very much) because i had a rhythm going. remember to wear an appropriate respirator and gloves when working with oil based enamels and mineral spirits! also check with your local dump about how to properly dispose of used solvents.

the smaller signs are about 14 inches long and will be eventually be hung below the sign. these are double sided too.

i am really happy with how these signs came out, especially the large one. i’ll have to get a picture of it once everything is hung up. if you are ever in the blue hill peninsula you should stop by the farm to check out the sign as well as pick up some meat and/or produce.

been busy!

this is a papercut animation i did for soltero’s ‘wondering.’ ‘wondering’ is off of the forthcoming album, ‘1943.’

i was planning to put out a series of classic rock valentine’s day cards this year for valentine’s day but this was the only one i ended up liking so i decided not to do it.
